Other than factory cartridges, has anyone heard of other sources, like Starline, for virgin 5.7 brass?

And please....no jokes about virgin brass coming from ugly cartridges..... :p

I just emailed Starline to see if they have plans to produce brass. I will post their response as soon as I receive one.

At this time, FN is the only source.

I did that, too! Just today, as a matter of fact! I must confess to some concerns about after-market brass since the 5.7 brass has a special laquer, or something on it....but Starline makes great brass--if anyone can do it, I'm sure they can.

What the hell, I'll send them an email too.
Asking, you know.
Edit: email's away, I did my part.
I see starline is making all kinds of other brass like 38-55, who uses that old junk?
They would sell way more 5.7 in a week then they would in a year with some of that obscure crap.

My thoughts exactly 748--lordie--there isn't even a "Tactical" or "Spec Ops" anywhere in the PS90 or Five-seveN's names and everything connected to them sells like the proverbial hotcakes......

But I made the mistake of checking FN's website and am pining away for a FS2000.....

Will it never end?!? Some many guns....so little cash..... :(

Got an email from Starline Brass stating they've been getting many requests and to check back in July--they're hopefull it will be available then...

For those who emailed them--Thanks! If you are a reloader and haven't emailed them--please send them an email so they have more incentive to produce it!

Thanks!

I agree--I'll prolly get 3,000 cases or so.....It's much more fun to make empties myself....but even tho' I think this round is gonna be around awhile--I don't want to find myself with a GyroJet and $50 per round......or "trounds" if anyone remembers those things.....or caseless ammo...guess you get the idea....

My dad owned a GyroJet back in the early 70's. He said it was a real piece of garbage, but was a lot of fun to shoot in an indoor range... ;)

I was little, but I remeber that it had NO recoil and it left a smoke trail in the air that you could see (and smell). I also remember that it wasn't loud like a gunshot, but has a "whooshing" sound to it. I also recall that the bullet didn't achieve max velocity for a few feet out of the barrel. Fromw hat I recall accuracy wasn't too good either (4" at 50').

He still has it in the back of the closet somewhere... ;)
