You can Google "2nd Amendment" and locate several organizations for info and there is a link to Findlaw site that will probably provide you with all the case law. Good luck.

The agencies that are trying to banned the gun are complete morons ! Most crimes comitted with guns are usually hunting type rifles IE: shotgun, high powered hunting rifles! Jackasses! I am an ex military/ law enforcement officer and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ! IE remington 700 w/ 10x scope or the Military version of the hunting rifle the M24 sniper rifle, xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Stop picking on the five seven you jackasses! It is not the gun ! it is the ammo! and you already got your way with that! Stop complaining already!

Your rant was off topic to start with, like something out of left field. it did not tie in with the topic or what had been posted. Agencies enforce laws that legislators make.
By the way pistols, not longarms are the weapon of choice of criminals as they are concealable.(thats common knowledge to those of us in the the police biz.) If you are going to claim professional credentials, its best that your posts reflect it. And leave overgeneralizations and words like morons and jackasses to the 17 year olds . We do not post "if I were going to harm a pulblic official, I would use _________ on this site. IF your are what you claim to be, you know better.

This site is viewed by both pro and anti gun folk alike....

You can search for quotes from Jefferson, Payne, Franklin and all of thier contempories. These quotes may not refere to law or supreme court rulings but will define what the famers were thinking.

It will be very clear that a vast majority of Jefferson's (truly-my hero) friends and adversaries believed that possesion of firearms is essential to freedom.

The quote I have below is from Jefferson. This is the very same idea we have been trying to convey for over 250 years.
