I have several hundred pcs of 5.7 brass that I am about to reload. Should I tumble it in my Dillon tumbler or leave it alone?? I read that the brass has a laquer coating on it. Thanks in advance.... :)

Welcome aboard. The brass is coated. I'm sure one of our reloaders can advise you about the way to go.

I tumble for about 20 minutes. You can clean with Simple Green too.

Tumbling will not hurt anything IF you use only UNTREATED corn cob media. Walnut and similiar are no-no's, they will damage the laquer. With a case of this size (extremely small) you MUST ensure that no media is left in the brass after tumbling. Even a couple pieces of corn cob will lessen the case volume and could increase pressure.

I personally use ONLY Simple Green and warm water to clean my brass. After cleaning I wrap them up in a towel and set them on top of a floor vent. The next morning all are dry and ready to load. If you wait to wash the brass until after resizing/decapping, you will get all the sizing lube off too.

Best of luck to you on your new project!!!
