I have been reading all about the "brady" problem and other anti-gun problems that all gun owners should be mad about..... :mad:

So the reason I post this new thread is for the old salts to let everyone know what they can do to help.

Join the NRA and contact your poloticians would be the response I expect, But I want to know which poloticians and should I call or write or email? Or should I call, write, and email? If I do call who do I ask to talk to, If I do write how can I be sure I am heard? Is there anything else to do?

And finally is there any way to get the Brady people to see the FACTS, because from what I see they know nothing on guns at all.

You can write and or email all your people in Congress. The contact info for them is usually listed in your local phone book. As for the Brady people, no need to waste your time. They do know the real facts and know what they are putting out is false, but they have their own agenda.

You're right, btown02, truth has nothing to do with their agenda. They don't like firearms period. Therefore, none of us should have them. They're just fortunate that they can voice their point of view, but just as fortunate not everyone hears them. :)

A concise letter, polite and to the point letter to your Representative or Senator does help. A "real" constituent's letter , that is, not a form letter or post card signals that you have a real interest. Ask for a reply as well. Try it -- be specific. Say something like " I am asking you to support Senate Bill 1234 as I think it is important to do this that or the other thing" "May I have your thoughts on this matter please?" It only has to be a few lines, and you don't have to be a great writer.
Also, send some money to support a candidate you endorse -- it doesn't have to be much.
